Last Saturday (19), the official website of the Rhodes scholarship announced the 2018 Rhodes scholarship undergraduate list, including 32 students from the United States university. The admission rate of Rhodes scholarship is only 1/10000, which is regarded as the Nobel prize for undergraduates. Every year the winners can go to the University of Oxford for further studies.

Autism diagnoses have more than doubled in the past twodecades, according to federal data. Twenty yearsago, it was rare for colleges to know how to work with these students or toeven know of the disorder, says Jane Thierfeld Brown, an autism expert and anassistant clinical professor at Yale Child Study, part of Yale Medical School.
But that’s not the case today, says Brown, who is also thedirector of College Autism Spectrum, which offersresources for families, schools and professionals.

“The next SAT and ACT are justa few weeks after Thanksgiving. Test-takers can use books or enroll in classesto prepare for the exams, but higher education experts say individual,one-on-one tutoring can be the best option.”
“You can really tailor the tutoring to that student’sneeds,” says Audrey Kahane, a private college admissions counselor.Test-takers may also feel more comfortable asking questions if they aren’t infront of a room of peers, she says.

Procrastination is not a good policy when it comes tocompleting college applications. Theconventional wisdom that early applicants are morelikely to get acceptance letters than their peers who file applications lateris supported by U.S. News data.
Among the 216 ranked colleges that reported both their early andregular acceptance rates to U.S. News in an annual survey, the average earlyacceptance rate – 67.6 percent – for the fall 2016 entering class was 16.4percentage points higher than the average regular acceptance rate: 51.2percent.
At the majority of these colleges – 187 schools – the percent ofapplicants admitted via early decision or early action washigher than the acceptance rate among applicants in the regular admissionspool.
